About Magistra
What is Magistra?
Magistra is an independent GLP-1 data platform. We maintain a continuously updated database of GLP-1 side-effect, efficacy, and safety evidence — built from scientific literature, regulatory reports, clinical trials, and public community reports — and publish tools and analyses on top of it. We are not a healthcare provider and we do not sell, prescribe, or dispense medication.
What can I do here?
Explore the public database and live statistics on our Data page, use the Patient Journey predictor to see evidence-based estimates for side-effect risk, weight trajectory, and discontinuation, and read our evidence-based articles. Researchers and organisations can access the data via our research API or purchase our real-world evidence brief.
Do you sell or prescribe GLP-1 medication?
No. We never sell, prescribe, dispense, or deliver medication, and we do not connect you to anyone who does. Magistra publishes data and educational analysis only. Decisions about medication belong with you and your own doctor.
Where does the data come from?
From public scientific and regulatory sources — PubMed, FDA FAERS, ClinicalTrials.gov, and news coverage of EMA/MHRA/WHO safety actions — collected by an automated pipeline that runs daily, plus public community reports (that track has added no new report since 2026-08-12 — Reddit has blocked our collector since 2026-05-28; see the Data page for details). Every data point keeps its source. Clinical-trial and real-world figures are always computed and shown separately, never blended.
Is the predictor medical advice?
No. The predictor gives educational, population-level estimates with confidence intervals — it cannot know your medical history. Use it to prepare better questions for your own doctor, not to make treatment decisions.
How reliable are the numbers?
Our methodology is published in full at magistra.health/en/methodology, including how we weight sources, compute confidence intervals, and monitor calibration and bias. Real-world reports are subject to self-selection bias — people with side effects report more — and we say so wherever the two tracks diverge.
Can researchers or journalists use the data?
Yes — that is what it is for. The Data page documents the citation format and the free research API. A paid real-world evidence brief (PDF + CSV) is available for teams that want the analysis ready-made. Use the citation format on the Data page — there is no DOI.
Is my data safe?
Yes. We are GDPR compliant. If you join the waitlist or contribute a report, your contact details are kept in access-controlled storage, never sold, and used only to send you the updates you asked for.
